This winter has been filled with freezing wind chills, polar vortexes and city-stopping snowfalls. Even in these most extreme conditions, one Ohio family recently learned it pays to have a home warranty.
Matthew Guertin and his family had just stepped into their new house only to be welcomed by a freezing temperature of 42 degrees. They had barely been handed the keys before finding out that the furnace needed to be fixed. Even worse, if the fix didn’t happen soon, Matthew had to worry about the possibility of freezing pipes inside his home. His wife and five kids all under the age of seven were stuck in limbo, not being able to move into their new home. Luckily for Matthew, he remembered his new home was covered by an HSA Home Warranty and called HSA.
Matthew told Action 19 News in Ohio, our new home is freezing and we have a lot of work to do. I have five little kids and we’re trying to move in so we needed to get the heat on.
Due to the extreme nature of the situation, Mike Furraj of Budget Heating and Air Conditioning went out on an emergency call. After just a few minutes, Mike diagnosed the issue and repaired the malfunctioning unit to restore heat to Matthew’s home.
Budget Heating and Air Conditioning has been a trusted HSA vendor for the past eight years and has been in the industry for 17 years. During this time of year, they service around 75-100 HSA customers each month. When asked what he thought of working as a vendor with HSA, Mike said, “It’s been phenomenal. From dealing with management to speaking with the adjusters, you can tell that everyone is well trained and knows what they’re talking about.”
